Elevate your Standard and Lead the Way.

The Vanguard Series from Heretic Custom Arms is our flagship AR-15 model designed for shooters who demand uncompromising performance, superior ergonomics, and long-term reliability. Every rifle in the Vanguard series is meticulously assembled using only premium components, ensuring exceptional accuracy, soft recoil, and flawless reliability whether you’re on the range, in competition, or defending what matters most.

Built for Versatility and Performance

The Vanguard is available in multiple configurations to match your specific mission:

• Calibers: 5.56 NATO, .223 Wylde, 6.5 Grendel, and 6 ARC
• Barrel Lengths: 16″, 18″, and 20″

From fast-handling close-quarters work to precision engagements at extended distances, the Vanguard adapts to your needs while maintaining the same high standard of quality across the entire lineup.

Premium Components

The Vanguard delivers elite performance through premium components, starting with a rigid 15″ M-LOK free-float handguard that preserves barrel harmonics for consistent accuracy while providing extensive accessory mounting options. It features the ergonomic B5 Systems P23 pistol grip and Collapsible Precision Stock for superior comfort, adjustability, and cheek weld across any shooting position. A crisp 4.5 lb match-grade two-stage trigger ensures fast, precise shot placement whether running dynamic drills or engaging at distance. Fully ambidextrous controls. Reliability is enhanced by a Carpenter 158 bolt carrier group with nickel boron finish for ultra-smooth operation, reduced fouling, and exceptional durability. Recoil is expertly managed by the LANTAC Dragon® Plan-B Hub Mount muzzle brake, which offers dramatic recoil reduction and seamless suppressor compatibility. Finally, a durable Cerakote finish provides long-lasting corrosion and scratch resistance in two premium color patterns.

Why Vanguard Stands Above the Rest

Every Vanguard rifle is built to exceed mil-spec standards. From the precision-machined upper and lower receivers to the carefully fitted components, these rifles are tuned for reliability under harsh conditions and accuracy that serious shooters can trust. Whether you choose the 16″ 5.56 for home defense and general-purpose use, the 18″ 6.5 Grendel for superior ballistics and long-range reach, or the 20″ 6 ARC for optimized terminal performance at distance — the Vanguard delivers flagship-level refinement in every configuration.

The Vanguard isn’t just another AR-15. It’s the rifle you upgrade to when you’re done compromising.
